For no other reason than that I have a touch of 'spaceship nostalgia' tonight and this cover reminds me of the spaceships that I used to see on Asimov novels (and the like) around thirty years ago. That really makes me feel old :o( Anyway...
Not only does the cover take me back to the days when spaceships looked cool, they just did, but 'Tarnished Knight' looks like it's a standalone novel (requiring minimal knowledge of the rest of the series). No having to catch up for me then :o) I'll move this one up the pile accordingly...

The US covers are pretty terrible for this series IMO. Character driven, photo realistic (or at least as photo realistic as futuristic dudes can be). Love these UK ones.
I do like a good starship on a book cover, and a bit spooky as i was thinking about books with starships on covers as an idea for your guest blog request. just not got around to emailing you about it and theres a scratchbuild ship on the bench thats eating up my spare time atm.

Blitzspear - I like your thinking :o)Let me know if you want in and I'll make sure there's a space free for you.
Justin - Funnily enough, I came across the US covers (doing an image search)and thought pretty much the same thing. There's something about photoshopped characters on covers that really doesn't sit well with me.

Sadly, the US cover has a guy-with-a-gun. Too bad you can't choose your cover when you order...
Graeme:
The guy-in-armor covers (for a space fleet series?) are so bad that Campbell/Hemry even pokes fun at them in BTF: Invincible.
AK:
Those are fantastic! I might have to mock up some text and swap out the cover images on my eBooks...
@Jay: Please do it, nowadays artists leave their art being copied in the hope to become more famous. Sad ?
