I'm only about half way through the book and I don't want any spoilers but... If you've read 'Sweet Silver Blues' can you let me know if any of the Gnomes are packing semi-automatics or Uzis by the end? My money is on 'no' which leads me to wonder why they're packing heat on the cover...
'Sweet Silver Blues' is turning out to be a very entertaining read though and I'm resolved to track down the rest of the series as and when I can.Well worth a look if you're a fan of Alex Bledsoe's 'Eddie LaCrosse' books.

I haven't read this so can't help with your question - just wanted to say that I really, really hate it when the cover art doesn't match the story in some way!
Not that I recall, but yes, the Garrett PI books are consistently excellent.
In some ways the Garrett books sort of acted as a precursor not just to the genre-mixing of Bledsoe, but hints of what some of the better Urban Fantasy would be. The first books were the best, as much for the world building as for the character.
No, there are no guns in Garrett's world. Just Hildebrandt (the artist) taking some liberties. Interestingly, the rest of the cover is pretty faithful to the book (especially the sloppily hand-painted lettering on the window.)
No there are not. The uzi's are what stopped me from buying the book 25 years ago. I have recently finished reading all the Garrett books and I love them. Glen Cook is the Best!!!!
