An Apologetic Competition Winner’s Post…

Because I find myself full of apologies today :o( Here goes…

So yeah, sorry that this post has been over a week in coming. Not only were things a little crazy here (after Majorca) but, when we got back, I thought I’d pack as many reviews as I could onto the blog to make up for a ‘review light’ month in September. I should hopefully have a few more to come this week but still, sorry this post didn’t happen over a week ago. Thanks for waiting!

And as far as ‘waiting’ goes, an apology is owed to those people waiting on their copies of ‘Stormdancer’. I didn’t realise that these hadn’t gone out but, now that I do, I’m on it like, erm… I’m on it :o) These should hopefully be posted to you this week.

And talking of ‘posted’, Adam Wallace… Your copy of ‘The Guv’nor’ is going in the post tomorrow morning. I am really sorry that it has been sat on my bookshelf since late August. Apparently, I’m much better at posting competitions on the blog than I am posting the books myself… :o(

There will also be at least one comic book/graphic novel featured. My heart says, ‘ooh, read the ‘Hobbit’ graphic novel’ but my head says, ‘that copy of ‘Morning Glories Vol. 3’ has been sat on the shelf for far too long’. Could go either way, which one would you pick?

The 'Disappointing but Informative Afternoon...' Competition Winner's Post!

What an afternoon... This was an afternoon where we got into London literally minutes after the Olympic victory parade finished. An afternoon containing a surprising bank statement (not a good one either). An afternoon where my two year old daughter managed to sneak two large boxes of M&M's out of the M&M store without anyone noticing (boy was my face red when I had to take them back). An afternoon where I realised that my taste buds have grown up and moved away from KFC (that really hurt)... I have learned a few things though, not least of which is to keep an eye on Hope (when she's in chocolate shops) and to stick with McDonalds in future :o)

A Competition Winner! (Early Evening Edition)

Because it's been a bit of a busy one today... The ‘Didn’t get back until midnight…’ Competition Winner’s Post!

Over eighty thousand people went to the Olympic football games last night and after the final whistle, at half nine, they all tried to get into one tube station to catch a train home. It took me an hour and a quarter to get from my seat, in the stadium, to a seat on the train. Some great football and a bacon roll (a really nice one as well) made up for it but, an hour and a quarter… That is why this post hasn’t appeared until the tail end of the day. That and a daughter who just wanted to watch Peppa Pig (although she did say “I want to see the Daleks…”)

Enough of that though.
