I thought Aaron Dembski-Bowden's 'The First Heretic' rocked; here's the man himself to tell just whyit rocks in a little more detail... :o)
It's always worth saying, I haven't read a bad 'Horus Heresy' book yet (although I still need to read a few more...) You should do yourselves a favour and check this series out.
