The top of my wardrobe...

Here's the top of my wardrobe, a place where books either wait to be taken to the charity shop or wait for their turn at being read and reviewed...
The picture shows what I'm hoping to get round to reading in the next week or so. 'Toll the Hounds' has been sat there far too long but that's the way life on top of the wardrobe can go sometimes... Sorry about the quality of the pic, stupid camera on my stupid phone!

Is there anything that you'd like to see me bump to the top of the reading pile? Leave a comment and I'll see if I can make it happen ;o)

This is just because I'm a fan of Star Wars and Karen Traviss, but Order 66? :-)

So you want to read these books next week or so. To be honest I happy when I finish one book per week.
It always takes a bit longer to read a book in a foreign language. I'm German and like to read books in English.

It seems there is still empty space on your wardrobe :-)

Well I know how it feels.. I have somekind of problem because I buy more books than I can read eheh.

You have some nice books there... A Cruel Wind by Glen Cook is a nice choice. I hope to see a review of it.
I would also like to know your thoughts on the third book by John Scalzi and Zoe's Tale by the same author. The first and second books are very good and darn easy to read. The first one is still my favourite.

I have A Cruel Wind in the pile to go to the used bookstore - should I read it instead?

My vote is move Toll the Hounds to the top of your list.

Edanifob - When I said 'get round to reading' I didn't mean that I'd finish them all! More like get started on them... ;o)

Everyone else - your requests have been noted (although I may need to skive off work for a couple of days in order to properly get into 'Toll the Hounds')! :o)

Forgot to say...

Anonymous - I haven't read 'A Cruel Wind' yet so don't know whether you should take it to the used book store or not.
I'm hoping for good things from it though, give it a go anyway ;o)

You should bump 'The Night Sessions', definitely ;)

The Time Engine sounds kinda intriguing....

Darren - So you reckon I should bump 'The Night Sessions' eh...? I'm sure there couldn't possibly be an ulterior motive... Could there? ;o)

James - 'The Time Engine' does look intriguing and it has one of the most 'old school' I've ever come across! :o) I reckon it's a safe bet it will get reviewed soon...

I'm reading 'Night Sessions' straight after 'The Man with the Golden Torc', which so far one of my favourite books of the year. Though I'm only halfway through so all subject to change.

I must admit that my current to read pile is split into what now or right next (5 or so books) and they live on a table in the living room as gentle reminder and the waiting pile is actually the middle shelf in the book case.

Have you buried some books in the wardrobe? You've got to have more than that around the place???` ;)

I will be very interested in hearing what you think about Fallen by Tim Lebbon. I've just finished reading The Everlasting...

That pile can't be all of your unread books. I have half a shelf full, and my shelf is pretty big. :P In any case, I vote for Cook's "A Cruel Wind" to get reviewed; I haven't read it yet, but it's been teasing me for a while.

Liz - Funnily enough I'm reading 'The Everlasting' right now so 'Fallen' gets bumped back a week or two... I'll let you know what I think though :o)

Cheryl - Those aren't all my unread books by any means, just the ones that look interesting enough to jump to the front of the queue. I've had a few requests for 'A Cruel Wind' so I'll have to get to it soon :o)

In the meantime, it's 'Order 66' and 'The Everlasting' that are being read as we speak...
