'Ender's Exile' and free reading from Marvel Comics!
November looks like it's going to be a great month for fans of Orson Scott Card's 'Ender's Game' series. I'm not a fan but that's only because I've never read any of the books, that could change though as I've been told at least two of the books are heading my way :o)
'Ender in Exile' has been twenty three years in coming but picks up the story as a direct sequel to 'Ender's Game'. Here's the blurb...
At the close of Ender's Game, Andrew Wiggin – called Ender by everyone – is told that he can no longer live on Earth, and he realizes that this is the truth. He has become far more than just a boy who won a game: he is the Savior of Earth, a hero, a military genius whose allegiance is sought by every nation of the newly shattered Earth Hegemony. He is offered the choice of living in isolation on Eros, at one of the Hegemony’s training facilities, but instead the twelve-year-old chooses to leave his home world and begin the long relativistic journey out to the colonies. With him went his sister Valentine, and the core of the artificial intelligence that would become Jane.
The story of those years has never been told… until now.
I've always been into fantasy more than sci-fi but it certainly looks intriguing enough for me to give it a go :o)
If this wasn't cool enough, Marvel Comics have made the first issue of their 'Ender's Game' adapation available to read, for free, online. This will only be for the month of November so have a read while you don't have to pay for it :o) I had a quick read and I liked the look of it...
If you want to read the comic then have a click
Here, if you fancy taking a slightly longer (more scenic) route then click Here for the link as well as information about the book...
