Very Definitely a Cover Art Post...

Because I love covers that are done up to look like old style theatre posters...

Gorgeous isn't it? My copy arrived yesterday as has moved straight onto the 'not quite sure when I'll get to it but definitely want to give it a go' pile. Have any of you folks read this before? Apparently 'Anno Dracula' was originally published in 1992... Do you think it's worth a look?

It was many moons ago but I remember enjoying this and it's sequel back when they first dropped. I dig a good alternaverse world, if it involves the supernatural or magical, and Newman did a pretty good job of injecting the early 20th century with "real" vampires whilst name-dropping actual historical figures. About on par with "Abraham Lincoln, Vampire Hunter", not as good as the "Alvin Maker" books (but how could it be?).

I mean, at least good enough for me to buy "The Bloody Red Baron", the sequel.

BTW- This cover is orders of magnitude better than the original!

Yes, Anno Dracula is a great read wih a fun twist on the original Dracula myth.
Though I must confess to liking The Bloody Red Baron more - it lands on the fun side of nuts for me.

I've never read the novel in question, but that is one amazing cover. I always fall for the ones looking like old newspaper headlines as well...

It's a great book, and definitely worth a look! I never read anymore of the books set in the same world though, it felt complete.
