I know the blurb does this, but it's the cover that normally makes me look at the blurb. This doesn't even pin down the genre for me.Small Blonde Hippyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08750668557722950799noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8679457768571800783.post-69841635885998755842012-03-04T21:15:22.630+00:002012-03-04T21:15:22.630+00:00Actually, it looks like the close up of a leg with...Actually, it looks like the close up of a leg with a torn fishnet stocking and a blood spot on the leg. This cover doesn't work at all at conveying its point.Jayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02912087467973939642noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8679457768571800783.post-53568352130104345892012-03-04T12:15:49.055+00:002012-03-04T12:15:49.055+00:00Sounds like the Frankenstein Monster for the 21st ...Sounds like the Frankenstein Monster for the 21st Century to me.James Bnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8679457768571800783.post-43013806350007087722012-03-04T09:59:58.919+00:002012-03-04T09:59:58.919+00:00Sounds like an awesome book, but I agree the cover...Sounds like an awesome book, but I agree the cover is a let down. Something that hints at the creature without revealing it. Something that makes you curious. This is a cover I'd pass without even thinking about it.SQThttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04251030404220909306noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8679457768571800783.post-60597086844177715492012-03-04T03:21:40.661+00:002012-03-04T03:21:40.661+00:00Eh, it looks just fine. It would have been awesome to see more stuff, but then I think back to the covers for Sam Sykes's books and all of a sudden this looks like a masterpiece (and I love the covers that pyr puts out). So its more of a love it or hate it sort of thing and I just think it's decent.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8679457768571800783.post-69987497220360229492012-03-04T01:50:29.023+00:002012-03-04T01:50:29.023+00:00In my opinion, the cover is just bland but the blu...In my opinion, the cover is just bland but the blurb is atrocious. As a molecular biologist and geneticist, when I read that "no human DNA allowed in the designs" etc, I cringed. Scientifically speaking, this basic plot point is so ridiculous that I don't think I could read even a few pages of this book.Antonakishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07689804221175786522noreply@blogger.com
